- Opening Preparation: Allow an additional 10 mm internally from upstand to upstand for precise fitting. For example, a 600 x 900 mm skylight requires a 610 x 910 mm opening.
- Upstand Construction: Construct the upstand using 2×1 or 2×2 inch timbers for optimal support and alignment.
- Foam Rope & Sealant: Apply foam rope on the internal support baton to balance pressure and weight. Use Dowsil 791 black silicone sealant for a secure, watertight finish. Avoid acrylic sealants, which are not compatible with this product.
