Installation Guidance
For a safe and accurate installation, follow these recommendations:
- Dimensions: The top glass pane includes a black border, extending the external size by 200 mm in each direction.
- Opening Preparation: Allow an additional 10 mm internally from upstand to upstand for fitting. For example, a 600 x 900 mm unit requires a 610 x 910 mm internal opening.
- Upstand Construction: Construct using 2×1 or 2×2 inch timbers for strong and reliable support.
- Foam Rope & Sealant: Install foam rope atop the internal support baton to evenly distribute the glass weight. Seal with Dowsil 791 black silicone for a watertight perimeter. Avoid acrylic sealants as they are incompatible with this product.
