Installation Guidelines

• Internal Dimensions: The top glass pane features a black border, extending the external size by approximately 200 mm on each side.
• Creating the Opening: Allow an additional 10 mm internally (upstand to upstand) for a perfect fit. For instance, a 600 x 900 mm skylight requires an opening of 610 x 910 mm.
• Upstand Construction: Construct the upstand using 2×1 or 2×2-inch timber for stability and support.
• Foam Rope & Sealant: Place foam rope on top of the internal supporting baton to distribute weight evenly. Seal the perimeter using Dowsil 791 black sealant to achieve a watertight finish. Note: acrylic sealants should not be used as they are incompatible.
• Flashing: Ensure full coverage around the skylight to seal it to the roof tiles. Flashing rolls are supplied in 7.5-metre lengths — one roll is sufficient for a skylight with a total perimeter of 6 metres (e.g., 1000 x 2000 mm).
