Installation Recommendations

- Dimensions: The top glass pane includes a black border, which increases the total external size by 200 mm in each direction.
- Opening Preparation: When cutting the roof opening, allow an additional 10 mm internally from upstand to upstand for precise fitting. For example, a 600 x 900 mm skylight requires a 610 x 910 mm internal opening.
- Upstand Construction: Build the upstand (the supporting timber frame) using 2×1 or 2×2 inch timbers for stability and accuracy.
- Foam Rope and Sealant: Apply foam rope on top of the internal supporting baton to distribute glass weight evenly. Use Dowsil 791 black silicone sealant for a watertight perimeter. Acrylic sealants should not be used, as they are incompatible with the glazing materials.
