Installation Recommendations

• Internal Dimensions: The top glass pane features a black border, extending the external dimensions by 200 mm in each direction.
• Creating the Opening: Allow an additional 10 mm internally (upstand to upstand) for a precise fit. For example, a 600 x 900 mm skylight requires a 610 x 910 mm internal opening.
• Upstand Construction: Construct the upstand using 2×1 or 2×2-inch timber for a secure installation base.
• Foam Rope and Sealant: Use foam rope along the internal baton to balance glass weight and reduce stress. Apply Dowsil 791 black sealant for a watertight seal—avoid acrylic sealants as they are not compatible.
• Flashing: The full perimeter of the skylight must be properly flashed. Rolls are supplied in 7.5-metre lengths, sufficient for units up to approximately 1000 x 2000 mm.
