Installation Guidance
To ensure a precise fit and long-lasting performance, follow the installation recommendations below:
- Dimensions: The top pane features a black border, increasing the external measurements by 200 mm in each direction.
- Opening Preparation: When cutting the roof opening, allow an additional 10 mm internally from upstand to upstand for correct installation. For example, a 600 x 900 mm unit requires a 610 x 910 mm internal opening.
- Upstand Construction: Construct the upstand using 2×1 or 2×2 inch timbers for structural stability.
- Foam Rope & Sealant: Apply foam rope along the internal supporting baton to balance weight and pressure. Use Dowsil 791 black silicone sealant to achieve a watertight seal. Avoid using acrylic sealants, as they are not compatible with this unit.
