Installation Recommendations
To achieve the best results and ensure a secure fit, please follow the installation guidance below:
- Dimensions: The top pane includes a black border that extends the external measurements by 200 mm in each direction.
- Opening Size: Allow an extra 10 mm internally from upstand to upstand for a precise fit. For example, a 600 x 900 mm unit requires a 610 x 910 mm internal opening.
- Upstand Construction: Construct the upstand using 2×1 or 2×2 inch timbers for reliable support and structural integrity.
- Foam Rope & Sealant: Use foam rope on top of the internal support baton to distribute weight evenly. Apply Dowsil 791 black sealant for a watertight perimeter. Do not use acrylic sealants, as they are incompatible with this product.
