Installation Guidance
For the best performance and watertight fit, we recommend following these installation guidelines:
- Dimensions: The top glass pane features a black border, extending the external measurements by 200 mm in each direction.
- Opening Preparation: When creating your opening, add 10 mm internally from upstand to upstand for correct fitting. For instance, a 600 x 900 mm skylight requires an opening of 610 x 910 mm internally.
- Upstand Construction: Build the upstand using 2×1 or 2×2 inch timbers for secure and stable support.
- Foam Rope & Sealant: Place foam rope on the internal supporting baton to evenly distribute glass weight. Seal with Dowsil 791 black silicone sealant for a watertight perimeter. Avoid acrylic sealants, which are incompatible with the unit.
